FAQ

My Network Files allows users to access network resources from a Web browser. Users can access their H: drive files from a Web browser or by adding a link to their "My Network Places" on their local PC. Users no longer need a NetWare or VPN client to access their resources. Access can be initiated from any computer using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.

Accessing My Network Places

  1. Double-click the My Network Places icon on your desktop (Figure 1)

  2. Double-click the Add a Network Place option from the Network Task list on the left (Figure 2)

  3. Click Next on the Add Network Place wizard window
  4. Select the Choose Another Network Location option and click Next
  5. Enter http://myfiles2.wright.edu/oneNet/NetStorage in the Internet or Network Address field and click Next (Figure 3)

  6. Enter a Name or click Next to use the default
  7. Click Finish
  8. Your H: drive will be the folder listed as Home@WSU
  9. An icon will now be available in the Internet section of My Network Places

How do I login?
Log in with your CAMPUS username and password (w123abc).

Which one is my H: drive?
After you have logged in, your H: drive will be the folder that says Home@WSU.

Do I need to accept the security certificates?
You will need to accept the certificates when prompted.  You can also install the certificates to reduce the number of times you have to accept them.

Why does a % sign appear in the file/directory name?
The % sign in the file and/or directory names represents a space character.
